Tofino is secluded on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. At Tofino's doorstep is the Clayoquot Sound region, a world UNESCO biosphere reserve. This area boasts one of British Columbia's most prized nature reserves, Pacific Rim National Park.
Tofino has been one of Dad & Victoria's favorite vacation spots. It was special to share Tofino with them. Initially, we were disappointed about the rainy weather. Then again, we were in a RAIN forest! We were able put on our yellow rain gear.
We stayed at the Middle Beach Lodge. It's a great place to relax, have a cup of tea, munch on cookies fresh out the oven. They serve fresh yummy croissants for breakfast.
Middle Beach has its own private beach (see background) and is a giant natural aquarium. We had fun walking on top of mussels and poking gently at all the marine life.
